December 9th, realme has an announcement regarding realme GT 2 Pro

Qualcomm has officially introduced its newest flagship System on Chip, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. This chipset is intended for Android smartphones and after its introduction, not a few smartphone manufacturers aka OEMs immediately spoke up.

Yes! The smartphone manufacturer is competing to show itself as the “first” to adopt Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. One of them is Xiaomi who tweeted via Twitter indicating that they will soon release the Xiaomi 12 Series powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

In fact, the CEO of Xiaomi Mr. Lei Jun said “Xiaomi 12 Series will be the world’s first smartphone” to have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. However, Lei Jun’s words were contradicted by Motorola. The smartphone manufacturer under the Lenovo umbrella has announced the launch date of its flagship smartphone.

Motorola has announced that it will launch the Moto Edge X30 also powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on December 9. Soon after, realme VP Madhav Sheth also confirmed the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered realme GT 2 Pro in December.

And now, realme has released a new poster via Weibo which describes that they have an interesting announcement regarding the realme GT 2 Pro on December 9th. This means that the presence of the Moto Edge X30 on December 9 will be “interrupted” by an announcement that will be issued by realme.

Although the event is closely related to the realme GT 2 Pro, until now, realme hasn’t said much about its newest flagship smartphone. Yes! Of course, this is outside the realm of realme, which is usually from a long time ago they have provided initial information or teasers about the new device that will be launched.

Not a few believe that realme will introduce the GT 2 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on December 9 before the Motorola event. This aims to claim the title of “world’s first smartphone announced with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1” can be held by realme, in this case the GT 2 Pro.

One thing to keep in mind, realme is just “introducing” the realme GT 2 Pro, but it is not yet known exactly when the smartphone will be launched and available in the market. Meanwhile, Motorola is expected to launch the Moto Edge X30 on December 9 and will start selling it in China on December 15.
