Débord de Loire: The Great Nautical and Artistic Event of the Estuary Returns for its 3rd Edition

Débord de Loire, the great nautical and artistic event of the estuary, is back for its 3e edition from May 30 to July 5, 2023.

Saturday June 3, 200 boats will parade including three star boats: The Oosterschelde (Netherlands), the Kaskelot (Franco-Danish), and the Belem! Before and during the parade, the quays of Indre will come alive all afternoon with several convivial meetings offered by the City and associations.

Share with the Indraises associations a moment of discovery! In the presence of the Indre Nautical Circle (CNI), the Loire Estuary Industries Conservatory (CIEL), the Indre Histoire d’Île association and the Twirling Baton Indrais.

MUSICAVÉLO, THE SINGING AND PEDAL CARRY-ON

Your children will travel in an extraordinary merry-go-round that spins with the strength of their calves! Animation for children from 2 to 9 years old.

EXHIBITION “THE LOIRE”

Discover the exhibition “La Loire à Basse-Indre” and explore the history of shipyards and its mythical Loire ferry. The maritime pavilions as well as models of boats will be presented to you.

FANFARE : KAFI “ROYAL SAPIENS”

The KAFI brass band revisits the concept of “Congolese sapeurs”, infuses it with its French touch and offers you “Royal sapiens”: spicy music for a brilliant and festive show! The unusual music carried by the generous energy of its actors serves you a tonic cocktail from which escape original compositions and new covers.


SAILOR’S SONGS

Embark for the concert of the association “Rêve de Mer” sea and maritime songs!


5:30 p.m.

PASSAGE OF THE NAUTICAL PARADE
The maritime fleet and the river fleet come together for the highlight of the event. Three large three-masted guests of honor for this 2023 edition: Belem, Oosteschelde, and Le Français, they will lead a fleet of 200 boats, from Saint-Nazaire to Nantes.
The estimated time of passage is likely to vary depending on weather conditions.

VELOPARADE with Place au Vélo
Meeting at 3 p.m. Espace de la Tour à Plomb in Coueron / Departure at 5 p.m.
In 2023, Make a Bike returns on the occasion of Débord de Loire to make you experience the event from another angle! Come and take part in the Vélo-parade to follow the boats going up the Estuary from Couëron to Nantes, via Indre and Saint Herblain. Accessible to all, with a speed of around 8km/h, the bike-parade offers you the best views of the nautical ballet from the shores.

TRAFFIC DISTURBED DURING THE VELO-PARADE
For the good organization of this event and for security reasons, traffic will be prohibited in Indre on certain roads or restricted from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Some axes will be diverted by adjacent tracks.
  • Parking will be prohibited or limited on the entire cycle route.
  • Bus lines 81 and 50 will be diverted.
  • The ferry will be closed from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (approximately).
  • Traffic on the quays will be one-way, from Basse-Indre to Haute-Indre.
