In addition to wanting to play completely free of charge, warez / piracy do have their place.
Not everyone is financially healthy enough to be able to buy games and everyone needs some entertainment. Again, no excuse to download anything that is loose and stuck. But personally I do give people access to a pleasure or 2. Especially because the people who don’t make a penny are just the people who can use some good distraction.
Personally I still do piracy because of demos. I have a little too much total dredging in my Steam library and bought dozens, if not hundreds of physical games throughout my life that are simply not worth it, so I prefer to play it 30-60min before purchasing (or the game) delete). And strangely enough, I find the gems better on a torrent site than on Steam, Epic or whatever with their cluttered stores full of advertising / promotion.
