Through his social networks, this afternoon Atlético San Luis announced the death of Daniela Lázaro, 20-year-old footballer who was part of the women’s team. Without offering further details, the team noted that the player died at 2:00 p.m. at her home.
In this regard, it was announced that Daniela could have been a victim of femicide, so the State Prosecutor’s Office would already have an open investigation folder to clarify the death. Similarly, versions indicate that the death would have been a suicide, since the body was found suffocating by hanging, without any other injury or signs of violence.
More details are unknown at this time. Various Mexican soccer teams mourned the loss.
