Dear Rashford, Example of Sancho Tuh!

Marcus Rashford is experiencing a decline in performance. Manager Manchester United, Ralph Rangnickasked Rashford to emulate Jadon Sancho.

Rashford this season is still dragging goals. From 22 appearances, the 24-year-old striker has only scored five goals in all competitions.

Rashford’s appearance against Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 was also not special because he only fired one shot without being on target. He was then replaced by Anthony Elanga, who finally scored to bring United to finish the game 1-1.

Rangnick admits Rashford is unhappy with his performances, but the club are trying to treat him through his troubles. Rashford is offered a lot of match videos.

“I see no reason why he should be happy. Right now he is trying to find his best form and performance. We are just trying to help him with everything we can,” Rangnick said as quoted by the Independent.

“We showed him the video footage, we talk to him regularly, in training he is in top form. That’s why I decided to play him (against Atletico).”

Rangnick hopes Rashford will draw inspiration from Jadon Sancho, who has struggled to adapt at Old Trafford.

“He (Sancho) is the best example of what happens. The player himself has to come out and get the best out of his own performances and this is the same with Marcus,” Rangnick emphasized.
