At least 7 people have died after being hit by a car outside a homeless center in Brownsville, Texas, ABC television reported, citing police.
According to the law enforcement authorities, 6 more people suffered injuries of varying severity. The driver of the car was arrested, is currently in hospital and is being tested for the presence of alcohol and drugs in his blood.
Investigators are yet to comment on whether the incident was intentional or accidental.
