A deceased man was found in the water of the Nieuwe Meer this morning. The remains were found on the side of the Amsterdamse Bos. It was about an older man.
This is confirmed by a spokesman for the Amsterdam-Amstelland police. The dead man was spotted by a passerby, who alerted the police. Divers are said to have removed the body from the water, but the spokesperson cannot confirm that. Investigations must reveal who it is and how the man died.
Striking: in the Amsterdamse Bos, there is also a search today for Jessica Kurzawa (29) from Haarlem, who has been missing since February 21. The confused woman was last seen at the VUmc on De Boelelaan. The search is being led by the Veterans Search Team.
