Dead and several injured in traffic accident on N59, army personnel come to the rescue | Inland

Two passenger cars and a truck were involved in the accident, which happened around 2:05 pm. An Air Force Chinook landed in the accident shortly after the accident. The army personnel happened to be nearby. The crew provided first aid. After that, the fire brigade arrived with several vehicles and an air ambulance also landed at the scene of the accident.

For one person, however, help came too late; the victim died on the spot. The other victims were taken to hospital.

The N59 is closed in both directions until at least 7 p.m. It is still unclear how the accident could have happened. The police are investigating.
