Several people have been killed and injured in a gas explosion in Karachi, Pakistan. Estimates vary: according to the police, at least twelve people did not survive the explosion, local authorities speak of at least 15 dead.
Pakistani police suspect the explosion was caused by a gas leak in a sewage system under a bank building in Karachi, the country’s largest city. The escaping gas caught fire for an unknown reason.
