It is customary to renew drinking water meters when they come of age.
Since the implementation of drinking water and sanitation skills across the entire perimeter, renewal campaigns have been carried out on a joint basis.
Today, the municipalities of Agde, Aumes, Portiragnes, Lézignan la Cèbe have been the subject of these campaigns, for Castelnau de Guers the campaign begins at the end of December 2021.
The meters installed are compatible with the remote reading system which will be deployed in the long term:
- No billing modification will be generated.
- The advantage of remote reading lies in the access to the service by internet and you will eventually be able to obtain overconsumption or leak alerts directly by text message if the settings are correctly carried out initially by the users.
- People will continue to be fed the same way. There are no plans to abolish garden meter subscriptions, but none will be created.
This system is widely deployed today and in accordance with the political commitments made in 2017, the Cahm is working to generalize this tool throughout the country.
