Duel Belgium vs Italy in the quarterfinals Euro 2020 will be held tomorrow. However, the condition Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard still a question mark.
De Bruyne and Hazard got injured while Belgium beat Portugal in the round of 16 Euro 2020, Monday (28/6/2021) early in the morning WIB. Both of them could not finish the match.
De Bruyne suffered an ankle problem after a tackle from Joao Palhinha late in the first half. In the second half, it was Hazard’s turn to be pulled over more quickly because he was plagued by a hamstring injury.
Belgium will next face Italy in the quarter-finals of Euro 2020 at the Allianz Arena, Saturday (3/7/2021) early morning WIB. Belgium coach Pelatih Roberto Martinez still not sure if the two players can appear.
“As you know, they couldn’t train today. There are still 24 hours before the game, it’s a race against time,” said Martinez as reported Football Italia.
“If they miss tomorrow, we hope they can come back in the next game. It will be difficult for Eden to recover, he has a muscle injury. De Bruyne has a different problem. The decision is up to the medical staff, we will decide once we talk to them.”
“Kevin is the best number 20 in the world, every coach wants him, but he has to be 100 per cent fit. We will know tomorrow, now it is still difficult,” he said.
Kevin De Bruyne so far has recorded one goal and two assists in three joint appearances Belgium of Euro 2020. While Eden Hazard contributed one assist.
