DBD in Serang Sukabumi, 4 People Killed

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DBD) cases in Sukabumi Regency, West Java, from January to July 2020 reached hundreds of people.

In fact, some have died due to dengue disease. Deputy Supervisor of the P2 Arbovirosis Program of the Sukabumi District Health Office, Joppy JR, said that four people died after contracting dengue.

Two of them are children and two of them are adults.

However, Joppy did not mention the identities and addresses of the four people.

“The death of dengue has added 4 cases of comorbidities from the hospital lab results. 2 adults, 2 children,” said Joppy when confirmed by Tribunjabar.id, Tuesday (18/8/2020).

Previously reported, from January to July 2020, there were 310 cases of DHF. And there are 171 cases of Dengue Fever (DD).

Joppy also mentioned that there are 10 areas in Sukabumi Regency, which are included in the big cases of DHF.

“10 major cases of dengue fever in 2020, Karawang, Cicurug, Jampang Kulon, Cikembar, Palabuhanratu, Citarik, Cibitung, Limbangan, Gegerbitung and Parungkuda,” said Joppy. (M Rizal Jalaludin)
