The Institute of Health Administration, IP-RAM updated the information on the epidemiological situation of Covid-19 in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (RAM), and in the last 24 hours there has been no case of confirmed contamination.
In the released balance, it can be read:
• Up to August 6, 1580 notifications of suspected cases from Covid-19 were counted in RAM, of which 1459 were not confirmed.
• Today, 3 more situations have been identified and are being studied by health authorities. These are 3 travelers identified in the context of the surveillance activities implemented at the Covid-19 Screening Unit at Madeira Airport. Epidemiological investigations and laboratory analyzes are ongoing.
• Regarding the 2 contacts close to an imported case that were being studied yesterday, it is reported that they were not confirmed. They remain in confinement and under surveillance by health authorities.
• In total, the region has so far recorded 121 confirmed cases of Covid-19, of which 98 are recovered cases and 23 are active cases.
• The 23 active cases consist of 20 imported cases identified in the context of the surveillance activities implemented at the Covid-19 Screening Unit at Madeira Airport and 3 cases of local transmission.
• Regarding the isolation of positive cases, 18 people who are isolated in a dedicated hotel unit, 2 in their home and 3 are hospitalized in the Multidisciplinary Inpatient Unit dedicated to Covid-19.
• To date, 17748 people are being monitored by the health authorities of the various municipalities in the region, now using the MadeiraSafeToDiscover application, 7772 of these people are under active surveillance.
• Contacts for the SRS24 Line (800 24 24 20) total 10678, plus 47 calls in the last 24 hours.
• The total number of services provided by the IASAUDE psychological monitoring line, IP-RAM (291 212 399) is now 1857, with 164 people accompanied by the professionals of this institute. Regarding other tests for Covid-19 screening performed, it should be noted:
• Regarding the total of Covid-19 tests carried out in RAM, 51314 samples were processed (until the end of 06/08/2020).
• In the context of the operation of screening travelers at the entrance to the ports and airports of Madeira and Porto Santo, there is a cumulative total of 22,419 harvests for testing to Covid-19 carried out on site (until 16:00 today).
