Walldürn.As every year, the Day of Eternal Adoration takes place on Tuesday, January 12th, in the pilgrimage basilica of the Holy Blood.
After the resumption of services, the Eucharistic celebration for the parish begins at 8 a.m. This is followed by a solemn opening of Perpetual Adoration with the exposure of the Holy of Holies on the high altar until 6 p.m. The day of worship this year takes place in the form of silent adoration.
The prayer opinion of Pope Francis looks in the month of January on the expansion of the kingdom of God and in particular on the communion with all people. “May the Lord give us the grace to live in fraternity with our sisters and brothers from other religions, openly and in prayer for one another,” said Pope Francis. The rosary is prayed at 6 p.m. and the day of prayer closes at 6.30 p.m. with the sacramental blessing. This is followed by another Holy Mass at the high altar.

Adoration is of particular importance for Walldürn as the largest Eucharistic pilgrimage site in Germany. Parishioners of the pastoral care unit as well as pilgrims are invited.
