Dusseldorf The Dax experienced another extremely volatile trading day at the beginning of the week. After an initial minus of five percent, the index rose to plus 1.3 percent in the early Monday afternoon, before slipping back into the minus. The Frankfurt benchmark closed 2.1 percent weaker at 8741 points. The negative signs increased in the afternoon trade because the prices on Wall Street also declined more and more.

The fact that the US Federal Reserve launched new measures to combat the economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic only reassured for a short time.
