Anthony Davis scored 34 points, Dennis Schroder had 24 and the Los Angeles Lakers held on to a fierce 109-102 victory Tuesday over the Phoenix Suns in the second game of their first-round playoff series.
It was a great comeback for the Lakers, and especially Davis, who struggled in Game 1 and took personal responsibility for Sunday’s 99-90 loss. On Tuesday, their 3-pointer with 2:15 to go put Los Angeles up 98-92 and shut out a Suns attack.
LeBron added 23 points and nine assists. Davis made 18 of 21 free throws and had 10 rebounds and seven assists.
The third match is played on Thursday in Los Angeles.
