“Daughter” asks for money via WhatsApp: scammers successful again

The police already know this scam well enough, but scammers are always successful with the WhatsApp scam.

On Monday morning, a pensioner from Simbach became the victim of the fraud scam that is currently increasing via Whatsapp message, reports the police. Her supposed daughter asked for immediate financial help via the messenger service. The elderly lady immediately transferred a mid three-digit amount without asking the family.
