“Das Boot” sets sail again: Sky has just released the first trailer for the fourth season of the Sky Original. The six new episodes will then be shown in double episodes on Sky One every Saturday from 8:15 p.m. from September 23, 2023. As usual, the entire season is available on demand via Sky Q and the Sky streaming service WOW. Seasons one to three are also available on Sky Q and WOW. The production is likely to be pretty much the last Sky original production – as is well known, Sky has decided to withdraw from its own series production, more about that here in our blog.
“The Boat”: That’s what season 4 of the Sky Original is about
Two storylines intertwine in the fourth season of “Das Boot”: the submarine war comes to a head in the Mediterranean, while intrigue and secrets spread in Berlin. Resistance to the Nazis is growing within the Kriegsmarine’s own ranks. After a shared tragedy, siblings Klaus (Rick Okon) and Hannie Hoffmann (Rosalie Thomass) find each other again. Both fight for their cause. Klaus has returned from Portugal to the German Empire. He travels to Naples on a secret mission to change the course of the war as a submarine commander. Hannie wants to help the many orphans who have become victims of the war and in doing so uncovers the infamous machinations of the Nazi Reich.
The previous cast of Rick Okon (“Tatort”), Franz Dinda (“The Medicus”), Florian Panzner (“Dark”), Anna Schudt (“Departure into Freedom”), Pierre Kiwitt (“The Zurich Crime”), Johann von Bülow (“Furia”), Rainer Bock (“Better Call Saul”) and Ernst Stötzner (“Brecht”) join forces with Rosalie Thomass (“The Kangaroo Chronicles”, An Unheard Woman”), Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht (“Enfant Terrible”), Lara Mandoki (“Leberkäsjunkie”), Stefan Murr (“The Ibiza Affair”), Marco Leonardi (“Cinema Paradiso”), Steffan Rhodri (“Temple”), Benjamin Dilloway (“Dune”), Joshua Collins (“What’s Love Got to Do with It?”) and Sascha Geršak (“Gladbeck”) other prominent faces.
