That remains secret. “This should avoid larger crowds,” said a Danube Island Festival spokeswoman for the APA.

A total of 240 pop-up events have been announced. Among them are ex-song contest participants Nathan Trent, Wienerlied singer Birgit Denk and the Austrian-Icelandic musician Thorsteinn Einarsson. In addition to concerts, there will also be readings and cabaret performances. At every tour bus stop, trained organizers will, if necessary, ensure that safety distances are kept in the audience. In addition, they distribute MNS masks and disinfectants on request or ensure that no maximum numbers are exceeded.

Finally, there will be concerts on the island itself on September 19 and 20, three shows a day – but only on one stage and with significantly less audience than usual. The tickets will be raffled off. As of today, fans can register for it. The drawing of the winners will take place in August when there is the greatest possible certainty about the number of visitors allowed and it is therefore clear how many cards can be issued, it said. Incidentally, the tickets will be personalized and counterfeit-proof. The program of the stationary shows will be presented at a later date.
