The children of the Danish Crown Prince Frederik (51) and his wife Mary (48) should go to school in Switzerland by the end of March. Prince Christian (14), Princess Isabella (12) and the twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine (9) have attended the Lemania-Verbier International School in Valais since the beginning of the year. But that is now the end – because of the corona virus, the Danes leave Verbier prematurely and return to Denmark.

“In view of the worsening situation in Denmark in connection with the spread of COVID-19, the crown prince couple decided to leave Switzerland,” said a royal press release.

Children will go to a public school again
It was a matter of course for the Crown Prince couple to return home at a time when all Danes were required to stick together. When they return to Denmark, their children’s schooling in Switzerland ends. Frederik and Mary hoped that the children could gain experience in an international environment and develop their language skills. Now the mini royals in Denmark will again go to a public school. For now, however, they have a break because all schools are currently closed due to the virus. (bsn)
