Danish King Frederik’s Book ‘Kongeord’ Reveals Plans for Monarchy and Faith

The future Danish King Frederik published a book on Wednesday containing his plans. In Kongeord (royal word), the monarch shares his thoughts about the monarchy, the Danish court said on Wednesday.

The announcement also includes some quotes from the book. “The power of faith does not lie in the question of whether God is mentioned in the king’s word, but in the fact that we as people feel connected to each other through our Christian faith,” the king writes, among other things.

The book also discusses his bond with Christianity, the royal family and his family.

Jens Andersen, who wrote the book, was approached on New Year’s Eve. That same evening, Queen Margrethe announced her abdication. The author has been to Amalienborg Palace several times for interviews.
