Dangerous road accidents. There were traffic jams and inconveniences

The accident involving four passenger cars occurred around 2 p.m. on the national road No. 46 from Nysa to Złoty Stok. In the village of Frydrychów, three other vehicles ran into the back of a left-turning car.

Eight people were injured as a result of the accident, including two children. A helicopter from the Polish Medical Air Rescue was called to the scene. For two hours, the road where the accident happened was completely blocked and traffic was diverted on local routes. As the duty officer informs General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways in Opole, the technical services have already cleared the road after the accident and the road has been restored to normal traffic.

No more traffic jams before gates on A1

There are no more traffic jams at the exit gates from the toll section of the A1 motorway in Nowa Wieś near Toruń towards Łódź, informed the A1 Motorway Traffic Control Center.

Queues in Nowa Wieś arise as a result of heavy traffic on the A1 during the period of increased tourist trips and the need to stop at the toll collection point. They usually form on weekends, especially during the holidays – first at the entry gates when travelers go to the seaside, and later at the exit gates when they return.

The northern section of the A1 from Rusocin near Gdańsk to Nowa Wieś near Toruń is paid, the further part of the route towards Łódź is free.

End of difficulties after repairing the damaged surface of the A4 motorway

Due to the damaged surface, there were difficulties from Friday on the A4 motorway towards the state border between the Krzyżowa and Krzywa junctions. Traffic was only one lane. The road has been repaired and the traffic is on two lanes, but you can still go up to 40 km / h.

The duty officer of the Lower Silesian branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways informed that on Sunday the damage on both lanes of the road was repaired and the road is already passable with two lanes. A spokesman for the Lower Silesian branch of GDDKiA, Magdalena Szumiata, informed that the speed limit of 40 km per hour was still maintained there, because road workers had to observe whether the repair was effective and that no damage would occur again.

The damage, which consisted of the road plate rising by a few centimeters, was found on Friday before 5 pm. The road was blocked for several hours on both lanes.

The police informed that before the road was blocked, several cars were damaged due to the damaged road surface. In the night from Friday to Saturday, the road workers, after repairing the fault, allowed the traffic in the right lane. However, a speed limit of 40 km per hour was introduced. Traffic jams were forming.

Lubuskie: end of difficulties on S3 near Jordanów

The police restored traffic towards Zielona Góra on the S3 road, blocked after the accident, near Jordanów in Lubuskie. There was a road incident involving six passenger cars and a motorcycle – said Marcin Ruciński from the County Police Headquarters in Świebodzin.

In the accident, the motorcycle driver and his passenger were injured. Emergency medical Services took them to the hospital. No one else was injured. The police will most likely classify the entire incident as three separate traffic incidents – an accident and two collisions.

First, the Mitsubishi driver was forced to go through the road, then he was hit by a motorcyclist who did not manage to brake in time. At the end, there was a collision involving several other cars following these vehicles – said Ruciński.

The accident happened on Sunday around 11.40 on the 146th kilometer of S3. This is a section of the express route between the Międzyrzecz-Południe and Świebodzin junctions. Difficulties related to the detour of the old national road No. 3 lasted several hours. On the other hand, drivers who got stuck in a traffic jam could take the detour after opening the technical gates on the S3 route.
