The winter storm warning in North Texas will be in effect until this coming Thursday at 6:00 am. For today you will need to dress in layers and have a good coat if you are going to leave the house, since freezing conditions and a mixture of rain and snow are expected in the Metroplex during the next few hours. Temperatures will remain in the mid-20s Fahrenheit range for much of the day.
