Daisy Ridley wird in Film ‘The Marsh King’s Daughter’ mitspielen.
The 28-year-old actress has landed the lead role in Neil Burger’s upcoming film, an adaptation of Karen Dionne’s psychological thriller bestseller of the same name.
The ‘Star Wars’ star plays the character of Helena in ‘The Marsh King’s Daughter’. She is “a woman who leads a seemingly ordinary life but hides a dark secret: her father is the infamous ‘Marsh King’, the man who kept her and her mother captive in the wild for years. After trying to escape her past for a lifetime, Helena is forced to face her demons when her father unexpectedly breaks out of prison. ”
The script is adapted by ‘The Revenant’ writers Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith. As the industry magazine ‘Deadline’ reports, the shooting of the film should start in Canada in the summer.
Daisy’s next film is Doug Liman’s sci-fi film ‘Chaos Walking’, in which she portrays Viola Eade as Todd Hewitt alongside Tom Holland.
