A total of eight (8) people were arrested in as many cases by various services of the General Regional Police Directorate of Epirus during the last week, in the context of daily and targeted controls, who were found to be in possession of narcotic substances.
In particular, it is about:
- 3 citizens, arrested by the Arta Security Department, who were in possession of cannabis and cocaine,
- a foreigner and a citizen, arrested by the Ioannina Direct Action Department, for possession of cannabis,
- 2 nationals arrested by the Security Department and Preveza Police Department, respectively, for possession of cannabis and
- citizen, who was arrested by the Igoumenitsa Security Directorate for possession of cannabis.
It is noted that the aim of these daily actions is to prevent the spread of drugs and the consequent protection of the public, especially the youth, from the harmful consequences of their use.
