Di Maria has spent three seasons with Benfica in the 2010-2013 range since joining from Rosario Central. He became Da Luz’s public idol after making 117 appearances and presenting two Portuguese League titles before leaving for Real Madrid.
Da Luz also presented a sweet story when Di Maria defended Madrid. He lifted the Champions League title with Los Blancos in the 2013/2014 season also at this Stadium. At that time, Madrid won 4-1 over Atletico Madrid in the final.

“I can reach the final and make history with a team like PSG – the first final in the Champions League – because I also won it in 2014 with Madrid at the same Stadium.”
“Likewise with the opportunity to play in the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals at the Estadio da Luz. This is a great combination for me. It feels extraordinary,” explained the 32-year-old player.
Di Maria seems to be relied on by Tuchel in the final. His figure is almost irreplaceable on the right side of PSG this season with 12 goals and 23 assists this season.
