Czech Television expects to maintain the broadcasting of the nostalgic program ČT3 permanently. The operation of the station is part of a long-term programming and technical concept, which is now being worked on by the public service television management.
“Czech Television strives to continue to operate this television channel in the future, for a number of reasons. One of them is that we manage to reach a specific target group. It also has one of the highest quality ratings among Czech Television viewers. It also seems to us to be a very effective use of the Czech Television archive and the extraction of formats that would not fit on other channels, “said CEO Petr Dvořák.
The final version of the long-term plans will be submitted by the television management to the ČT Council by the end of this year. The CEO reminded that the continuation of the operation of ČT3 is also possible thanks to the maintenance of the exemption from VAT accounting. The deputies originally canceled it, but after the intervention of the senators, it retained it at the last minute.
