In Balen in the Antwerp Kempen, a man died on Sunday evening when he was hit by a car on a bicycle. That says the local police of the Balen-Dessel-Mol zone. The driver of the car committed a hit and run and could not be caught yet. The public prosecutor’s office and the police have started an investigation.

The police do not want to give many details about the accident for the time being. The collision must have happened to Breden Els between 6 pm and 6.30 pm, after which the vehicle in question drove on.
It would be a BMW, but the investigation into who the driver was is still in full swing. The victim died on the spot.
