Customs intercepts consignment of coke with street value of 39 million | Inland

The coke was hidden between bagasse, a by-product of sugar cane. The container came from Brazil and the contents were destined for a company in Manchester. The stuff was found during a check in the night from Friday to Saturday.

Including this catch, 1,817 kilos of cocaine were intercepted in the harbor this week. Previously, batches of 712 kilos, 470 kilos and 115 kilos were involved.

The HARC team, in which customs work together with FIOD, the Seaport Police and the Public Prosecution Service in Rotterdam, is investigating the case.
