Limburg-Weilburg. The district administration has announced that as of Friday, September 3, 2021, midnight, 285 people are actively infected with the corona virus in the Limburg-Weilburg district. They are distributed in Limburg (100), Hadamar (26), Bad Camberg (22), Elz (22), Dornburg (22), Beselich (16), Weilburg (14), Runkel (12), Weilmünster (11), Waldbrunn (11), Selters (9), Brechen (6), Löhnberg (5), Hünstelden (4), Elbtal (4) and Mengerskirchen (1). In active cases, 12.65 percent had a breakthrough vaccination. This number is updated weekly.
So far, there have been a total of 9,782 confirmed cases (+ 55 on the previous day), 9,212 people have now recovered (+ 18 on the previous day). 926 people are currently in quarantine in the district. Unfortunately, 285 people died in connection with the corona virus. In the hospitals of the district there are currently four people infected with the corona virus in normal care beds and two people in intensive care beds. In order to ensure the best possible care for Corona patients, there may be transfers between hospitals.
The incidence is 104.5. The incidence describes the number of new infections with the corona virus per 100,000 inhabitants within 7 days. To calculate the incidence of the Limburg-Weilburg district, the Robert Koch Institute assumes a population of 172,291.
In the Limburg-Weilburg district, a total of 116,815 people have so far received the first vaccination (67.8 percent), 108,447 have been fully vaccinated (62.9 percent). The vaccination figures are made up of first, second and single vaccinations in the Limburg vaccination center, in medical practices and in the Wiesbaden vaccination center.
There are new positive cases at the Central School Goldener Grund Selters, the Jakob-Mankel-Schule Weilburg and the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Schule Hünstelden. On the basis of the decree on segregation decisions (quarantine) of the Hessian Ministry for Social Affairs and Integration and the Ministry of Culture, individual cases are weighed up for segregation decisions. In consultation with the schools, the local conditions are taken into account. The segregation of entire classes or courses is usually not an option. There is also a positive case in the Konfetti Steeden day care center, where quarantine has been ordered.

Currently, the stock of vaccine doses for all four vaccines is significantly higher than demand. In addition, many appointments that have already been made are not kept. It is therefore possible to have a vaccination at the Limburg Vaccination Center without making an appointment in advance. The vaccinations are carried out Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. – on Tuesdays even until 8 p.m.
The vaccination center also offers all children and adolescents from the age of 12 who are willing to be vaccinated the opportunity to be vaccinated against Covid-19 without making an appointment. The vaccines from BioNTech and Moderna are approved in Germany from the age of 12, and the StiKo has now issued a recommendation for vaccinating children and adolescents. It is therefore possible to have this vaccination carried out in our vaccination center. The vaccination of 12 to 17 year olds requires the written consent of a parent or legal guardian on the current mRNA information sheet, which can be downloaded from the district’s homepage. Children and adolescents from 12 to 15 years of age can only be vaccinated if they are accompanied by a legal guardian.
The following documents should be brought with you to the vaccination:
Photo ID (from the age of 16), a student ID or driver’s license is also possible
Health insurance card (if available)
• yellow vaccination certificate (if available)
With immediate effect, vaccinations can be carried out in our vaccination center, regardless of where you live, even across federal states.
In addition, the Limburg-Weilburg vaccination center is now offering, in addition to vaccination without a deadline, the possibility of “vaccination on call” in private households in the district. “Vaccination on call” is another additional offer to enable all citizens to have a vaccination without barriers. For this you will be visited and vaccinated at home by our vaccination team at short notice. These vaccinations only take place on weekends! Registration for this is possible for all citizens who have not yet received a vaccination. Vaccination is only possible with vaccines from BioNTech or Johnson & Johnson. If you are interested, please contact the vaccination center by phone at 06431/9217081 or 06431/9217089 or by email at mobileteams (at) limburg-weilburg.de.
In parallel to the vaccinations, however, it is still important to adhere to the distance and hygiene rules and to ventilate sufficiently to prevent the delta variant from spreading.
