Wearing the uniform of a Jepara Police detainee, S (56) bowed his head when he was escorted by a number of police officers, two of whom were carrying long-barreled weapons, Monday (14/2/2022).
The grizzled man with his hands wrapped in cable ties is a suspect in rape and molestation under the guise of a shaman. The suspect, from Kembang District, Jepara Regency, did not hesitate to threaten the victim that he would be destitute if he did not fulfill his desire.
“This suspect took advantage of (the victim) by suggesting a flower bath ritual in a naked condition,” said Jepara Police Chief, AKBP Warsono during a press conference at the Jepara Police Headquarters, Monday (14/2/2022).
In addition to presenting the suspect, the Police Chief also showed a number of pieces of evidence that the suspect used to trick his victim, including one green coconut, a bottle filled with water, a bunch of rice plants, two packs of flowers, and two bunches of roots.
“Articles 289 or 258 of the Criminal Code carry a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison,” said Warsono in a firm tone. Curious to see the appearance of the lecherous shaman?
