Maj Britt Andersen’s interpretation of twins brought tears to the eyes of Anna of the North alias Anna Lotterud from Gjøvik.
–
In the season premiere of “Every time we meet” on TV2, Tix had to both wipe a tear himself and take care of the Gjøvik artist.
Marked himself
The music region Gjøvik and Toten stood out strongly in this year’s season opening of the popular TV program.
Not only did Andersen stand for one of the evening’s decided highlights. Lotterud delivered a strong hit candidate for next week’s Spotify list.
– I think it was so fun to see the gang again. It was a nice bunch to be with. Kjerringøy was also very beautiful. It became a separate atmosphere, says Maj Britt Andersen to OA after following tonight’s broadcast.
Andersen was presented as one of Norway’s most beloved artists and the country’s foremost Prøysen interpreters.
With 25 albums, 14 Spellemann nominations and several awards, she is also the veteran of this year’s team.

Calling on you (2020)
Big Bang boss Øystein Greni kicks off this year’s HGVM song with a bang. “Kaller på deg” was last year’s Paradise Hoteø song. Here comes the song in a rock version. There is full swing from the first to the last note and with both Greni and Tix on the lunch table. Dice: Five
Myra, Sweet but psycho, 2017:
Ava Marie’s world hit. Few know that Tix has delivered the song. Myra presents a nice version in Bergen – with a text about being yourself and not like everyone else. But that it will be nice, a bit tix-like, but may not quite grip. Dice: Four
May Britt Andersen, “Angel, do not go (2021)
The oldest are the best, it is said. May Britt Andersen delivers a fantastic version of the song that Tix made to one of his biggest supporters when he was invited to her funeral. She does it in the toten dialect, she gmake it your own, to a strong song that probably not only brought tears to the eyes of Anna of the North and the main character herself. Dice six
Anna of the North, “Shotgun” (2015)
The first song by Tix that was not a pure russel song. Anna turns the story of the tough, cool pussy at school into one that it may have been about at heart: About feeling outside and insecure. The case is sweet, catchy, it is definitely Anna of the North, and has, as Tix himself says, hit potential. Should be loaded a lot on Spotify for the week. Dice five
Arif, “A Thousand Tears”, 2021
A thousand tears is a cry for help. The former russelåt star has turned his career around to convey thoughts and feelings about mental health. Arif takes both the desperation, the soreness and the mood of the song into the world of hip hop, and it is not uneven. A slightly different Arif here than what we often hear otherwise. Dice three
Bernhoft, “Fallen Angel”, 2021
Jarle Bernhoft is raw. He takes the Grand Prix song with all its effects and staging and turns it into a raw, funky and jazzy musical world-best cake. Berhoft is a multi-musical talent with a singing voice and the cool cat of a song makes May Britt Andersen smile broadly. You can hardly get further from the original. Dice: Five

The tears fell
It was Tix who was the main character in tonight’s broadcast.
Maj Britt Andersen interpreted the song “Angel, do not go”. The song was written after Andreas Haukeland was invited to the funeral of one of his biggest fans.
Maj Britt Andersen brought out the feelings in everyone.
In the middle of the song, Anna Lotterud’s and Tix’s tears well up.
– It is a very strong story. With May Britt and her voice at the top, it became so close, painful and strong, says Anna to OA.
She explains that she listened a lot to May Britt Andersen as a child and that it “just raked” when she heard her soft, gentle performance on twins.
– It was also a bit of a redemption in it. I had been very excited before the recording, she says.
– It was a nice song to interpret. You want to get there. I felt like I did. Right into the heart. Andreas was very happy with the song, says Maj Britt Andersen.

Found the tone with Tix
Anne Lotterud herself sang “Shotgun”, the first song Tix made that was not a russel song.
– I hope her interpretation makes more sense than mine, said the evening’s main character.
– Tix’s version is more about being the cool, tough boy at school. I understood that there was something behind there. So I turned it around a bit and made it about being insecure, a bit like I felt when I went to school, says Anna Lotterud to OA.
Afterwards, Tix also exclaimed that he had a lump in his throat, that the song was beautiful.
– This is a hit, he said.
– I feel that we are a bit similar, says Anna.
