Chicago (USA), June 19 (EFE).- The Dominican Johnny Cueto shone this Saturday on the mound for the Chicago White Sox and his compatriot Gary Sánchez homered in the convincing 11-1 of the Minnesota Twins against the Arizona Diamondbacksin a day of Major Leagues in which Mike Trout he despaired of the Seattle Mariners with a home run in the tenth inning.
The New York Yankees continue to dominate the American League, with nine consecutive victories and a record of 49-16, while the Metros, also from New York, lead the National League (44-23).
The Yankees rule with a nine-win advantage over the Houston Astros (40-25), crushed by the Chicago White Sox, while the Metros have four more than the Los Angeles Dodgers, who have three games in hand.

Cuban Luis Robert had a double, drove in four runs and had one, in a White Sox that have four wins in the last five games.
In the Astros, who fell after three consecutive victories, the loss was for the American Justin Verlander (8-3).
SAILORS 2 – ANGELS 4
Mike Trout remains a nightmare for the Seattle Mariners and his two-run home run in the tenth inning punished them with yet another loss.
It was Trout’s 50th homer against the Mariners, in the first of two games Saturday in Seattle.
Only Cuban Rafael Palmeiro, with 52, had more home runs against the Mariners, according to statistics provided by the MLB.
DIAMONDBACKS 1 – MELLIZOS 11
Dylan Bundy struck out seven in eight innings and Gary Sanchez homered and drove in two runs in the Minnesota Twins’ 11-1 run at the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Venezuelan Luis Arraez had two hits and got two runs for the Twins who recovered after suffering 2-7 against the Diamondbacks on Friday.
In the Twins the victory went to Bundy (4-3), while in the Diamondbacks the loss went to Luke Weaver (1-1).
BLUE JACKS 0 – YANKEES 4
Jameson Taillon struck out eight in his 5 2/3 innings on the mound and drove in the Yankees’ shutout victory at the Toronto Blue Jays’ home field.
His confidence on the mound, and an Aaron Hicks driving in three runs in the fourth inning, gave the Yankees their ninth straight victory, extending their excellent season (49-16).
DOGS 6 – BRAVOS 3
The Chicago Cubs added their second consecutive victory, the second in two days at Wrigley Field against the Braves, in a game marked by the encounter between the Willson brothers and William Contreras.
The Cubs’ Willson came out to bat in the first inning and hugged his brother William, the Braves’ starting catcher on the afternoon in Chicago.
“It was the best time of our lives, including those of my family, my mother and my father. After everything we went through to get here, now we can enjoy it,” said Willson Contreras.
Willson Contreras had three hits and a run and drove in the victory of the Cubs in which the Venezuelan Rafael Ortega had a great home run in the seventh inning.
