Cueto shines on the mound, Sánchez and Mike Trout show power at bat

Jameson Taillon struck out eight in his 5 2/3 innings on the mound and drove in the Yankees’ shutout victory at the Toronto Blue Jays’ home field.

His confidence on the mound, and an Aaron Hicks driving in three runs in the fourth inning, gave the Yankees their ninth straight victory, extending their excellent season (49-16).

DOGS 6 – BRAVOS 3

The Chicago Cubs added their second consecutive victory, the second in two days at Wrigley Field against the Braves, in a game marked by the encounter between the Willson brothers and William Contreras.

The Cubs’ Willson came out to bat in the first inning and hugged his brother William, the Braves’ starting catcher on the afternoon in Chicago.
