As confirmed by the Autonomous Government of Castilla y La Mancha, the population between 40 and 49 years old will begin to receive the first puncture earlier than expected, from the first week of June, so that the estimate is that vaccination for those under 40 years of age is also early and may start before the end of the month.
For the moment, since the other communities will be joining to confirm dates depending on how the vaccination campaign progresses, It is the community that will begin to vaccinate the population in their thirties first.
Vaccination between 40 and 49 years in the community
In Castilla-La Mancha, 38% of the population already has at least one dose, and 18% the complete regimen. What’s more, In the 14 days that have elapsed in May, as many vaccines have been given as in the entire month of March, that is, more than 200,000 doses. For example, just yesterday, Thursday, 32,000 people were already vaccinated.
This has caused, for good, that vaccination of people over 40 years of age can start within three weeks, earlier than planned, although obviously they are estimates and everything will depend on how the rhythm advances in this second half of the month. The initial forecast was to inoculate 15,000 daily doses, but the latest figures have far exceeded expectations.
On the other hand, those over 80 have already received the full guideline, 100%, and those over 60 years of age, including the above, have received a dose in 92% of cases and the full regimen in 44.5%.
Several communities will begin to vaccinate people over 40 years of age
The Community of Madrid has been one of those in charge of announcing the vaccination to people between 40 and 49 years old next month and those under 40 in July. Catalonia also handles these same forecasts.
In the Valencian Community it has been reported that on June 17 the inoculation would begin of doses to the population between 40 and 50 years, and by then those over 50 years would have already received at least one dose or fully immunized.
Castilla y León or Navarra have also been set for mid-June like when to start vaccinating those over 40, like Asturias, Andalusia or Extremadura, all of them in the next month. Of course, as long as the forecasts are met.
