Cruelty to animals: Herrl let dog starve to death

NO. The police and a medical officer uncovered a terrible case of animal cruelty on Thursday in a house in Deutsch-Brodersdorf (Baden district).

The dog owner has been in the sights of the authorities for a long time because, according to local residents, there should have been problems with him again and again. Neighbors had apparently already reported the pet owner several times because he is said to have extremely neglected the four-legged friend. Passers-by, who noticed the animal’s great suffering, had already placed food for the dog on the property several times.

Autopsy. But not even this should have given the owner to his Jack Russel hybrid. Thursday was suspected of imminent danger, whereupon the door was broken into and the police found the dog, which had been dead for several days, heavily decayed. There was no trace of the owner. The carcass was confiscated and is now being autopsied.
