TSG Hoffenheim signed a new defensive player in Eduardo Quaresma on Thursday (4 August). The central defender will initially come to the Kraichgau on loan for one season from Sporting Lisbon. TSG also has a purchase option for the 20-year-old Portuguese.

After the change was announced, Hoffenheim posted a video on Instagram of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo welcoming Quaresma to TSG: “Hi guys. Eduardo Quaresma, wow! What a player. Now I can say say siuuuu,” CR7 says in the clip. However, the social media department of the Kraichgauer cleverly edited the video.
Ronaldo originally thanked Instagram for 400 million followers. In any case, the video is well received by TSG fans. “Haha cool,” writes one user. “Well, if Ronaldo approves…” says another.
