Crisis in the hospital: should the 15,000 suspended caregivers be reinstated? – The Weekend Diary

Emmanuel Macron does not believe that the reinstatement of caregivers who had refused to be vaccinated would be the answer to the staff shortage. He said it very clearly this week at the hospital in Cherbourg. Marine Le Pen, on the contrary, writes in a Tweet that recalling the 15,000 suspended caregivers would, to a large extent, solve the hospital crisis. Currently, the people suspended would be around 5,000. And if we will stick to caregivers alone, that is to say doctors, nurses, caregivers, the estimate is around 1,500 to 2,000, depending on the French Hospital Federation. Ten times less than the figure announced by Marine Le Pen at the start. And this is above all very far from the need of the hospital. The French Hospital Federation carried out a survey of its members. There would be a shortage of 11,000 nurses, 5,000 caregivers, 4,000 doctors, anesthesiologists, emergency doctors. That is around 20,000 caregivers in total. So even reinstating the 1,500 to 2,000 suspended caregivers, we are way off the mark. T F1 | Tray B. Dard
