Treyarch’s female members issued a statement citing harassment cases
2021 is coming to an end and unfortunately it has not been a good year for video games. Some great titles may have appeared, or people have enjoyed the new generation, but the industry has suffered a number of discrimination and harassment cases, with the most serious and well-known controversy being Activision Blizzard’s.
This directly affected the Call of Duty franchise, one of whose directors had to resign due to the events of 2017 and the subsequent investigation. He was a member of Treyarch, one of the studios responsible for the franchise, which has now released a statement.

According to Miry Due, co-producer of Treyarch, this is a text written by women. “The whole team is committed to video game development because we deeply love the art and magic that can create essential moments ”.
A statement is undoubtedly necessary, although it is still questionable whether effective measures will be taken to further combat the problem. Keep in mind that it all goes much further, with many employees demanding that the president of Activision Blizzard Bobby Kotick’s resignation, who is directly accused of knowing first-hand about sexual abuse at the company.
