Meanwhile, the mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, assured that vaccination against covid-19 will not be suspended, despite the fact that there is little availability of biologicals against the virus, since in the city there are 9,000 doses of Pfizer available for the first application and 8,000 of Sinovac for second doses.

López affirmed that 70,000 more doses are required to complete the deficit in the city. For this reason, efforts will focus on a priority approach to childhood immunization in the coming weeks.

The mayor stressed that in the capital there is no availability of second doses of the Moderna vaccine. However, people will be able to go to the 20 authorized points in the city where doses of Pfizer and Sinovac will be applied.

It should be remembered that the Ministry of Health determined this Friday, August 27, to extend the interval of the doses of the vaccine against covid-19 of the Modern pharmaceutical company from 4 to 12 weeks.
