COVID Cases Increase 37%; 42% of adults have been vaccinated

Health authorities estimate that there are 4,272 new COVID infections in Mexico, for which there are already 2 million 849 thousand 410 estimated cases accumulated since the beginning of the pandemic.

According to technical report Federal Health, an estimated 85 thousand 512 active cases, and the trend of infections increased 37% in one week. So far 2 million 86 thousand 657 have recovered.

There were also 91 deaths, so that so far 236,331 deaths from the disease have been confirmed.

The occupancy of general beds for COVID patients nationwide is 31%, while for beds with a ventilator it is 24%.

This Saturday, 367 thousand 376 vaccines against COVID were applied, reaching 54 million 282 thousand 399 doses supplied throughout the country, to 38 million 29 thousand 139 people, equivalent to 42% of the adult population.

Of the vaccinated people, 21 million 626 thousand 694 have a complete scheme (57%) and 16 million 402 thousand 445 have a dose (43%).

The entities with the greatest progress in the vaccination strategy are Baja California (79%), Mexico City (67%) and Chihuahua (63%). Chiapas (21%), Puebla (25%), Campeche (29%) and Guerrero (29%) are those with the lowest number of people who have received doses.
