Covid, agreement for rapid antigenic swabs in Lombard pharmacies

An alliance between the Region and Lombard pharmacies to perform rapid antigenic swabs. This is the agreement reached on the proposal of the councilor for Welfare Letizia Moratti as a “contribution to the fight against the pandemic” with Federfarma Lombardia, Assofarm / Conservizi Lombardia and the regional Federation of Pharmacists’ Orders.

“I repeat – explains Letizia Moratti – how important is the role that pharmacies play also as a service pharmacy. The objective of the agreement responds to the need to increase the testing capacity in the screening of the asymptomatic population throughout the region, expanding the usability and accessibility of the antigen test to citizens, both in the SSR (in particular populations) and in the private sector / extra SSR. The operating procedures of the service will be defined with a subsequent resolution “.

The Region will pay pharmacies 12 euros (excluding VAT) for each rapid test carried out, for the supply of consumables, personal protective equipment and remuneration for the service. The activity is part of the institutional activities of the Ats and Asst for 2021, which has a budget of up to € 1,197.5 million, of which up to € 116.7 million for prevention activities related to the National Vaccine Plan, Covid swabs and cancer screening.
