Covid-19: what is the new corporate health protocol?

Faced with the 5th wave of Covid-19, the Government is once again changing the health protocol for companies. What are the new measures? We explain to you.

The health protocol for companies had already evolved last November. But faced with the resurgence of Covid-19 cases, the Government must once again change the rules. From Monday, January 3, 2022, companies will have to follow a new protocol, the main measure of which is the obligation to telework.

Teleworking, barrier gestures and referent

Employees will have to stay more at home. Indeed, employers must now obligatorily apply teleworking 3 days a week, when possible. It can even be 4 days if the conditions are met and if the work organization allows it.

If the activity continues face-to-face, respect for barrier gestures remains essential:

  • Wash your hands regularly.
  • Systematically cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing into your elbow.
  • Avoid touching your face – especially your nose, mouth, eyes – or touching your mask.
  • Blow your nose in a disposable tissue, to be discarded immediately.
  • Do not shake hands or kiss to greet each other, do not hug.

Added to this is the ventilation of the rooms 10 minutes every hour. Wearing a mask is also compulsory in closed places where there are several people. Physical distance is maintained at 1 meter (or 2 if the mask is not worn). In addition, vaccination should be encouraged including on working time and moments of conviviality between colleagues must be suspended.

Finally, companies will have to name a Covid-19 referent to ensure “ the implementation of defined measures and employee information ».
