Covid-19: those transiting through Germany and France risk quarantine

The Ministry of Health has taken new decisions following the spread of Covid-19 in several regions and departments in France as well as in Germany.

As a result, the following decisions were made on Wednesday afternoon, March 4:

• Anyone leaving, or having transited through France during the past 14 days, will now be automatically placed in quarantine, only if this person has symptoms such as fever, cough or breathing difficulties.

In addition, to date, 35 people are under observation at Souillac. 30 people are placed in quarantine and 5 people are in isolation.

As for the Anse-la-Raie youth center, 6 people are in quarantine there against 17 in Pointe-Jérôme.

The Ministry of Health said in its statement that 58 people are currently under observation in Mauritius.
