– One hundred and eighty-nine (189) new cases of infection with the coronavirus (Covid-19) have been confirmed in Morocco during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases of contamination to 5,408;
-The number of people declared cured rose to 2,017, with 179 new remissions;
-The number of deaths was increased to 183 after the announcement of two deaths;
– The total number of cases excluded after analyzes has reached 47,550 since the start of the epidemic, after having ruled out 3,199 cases in the last 24 hours;
– Most of the new cases (162 out of 189) were detected through the medical follow-up of contacts, ie a rate of 86%;
– 9,310 contact persons have benefited from medical monitoring so far;
– Casablanca-Settat leads the regions with the highest number of confirmed cases (26%), followed by Marrakech-Safi (32%), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, Fès-Meknes, then Drâa-Tafilalet;
– The regions of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra remain unaffected.
