The latest figures communicated on the spread of Covid-19 by the sub-prefecture of Bayeux (Calvados) show a clear epidemic resurgence in the community of municipalities Isigny-Omaha Intercom. The mayor of Isigny-sur-Mer has just taken a decree making it compulsory to wear a mask in the city center and around municipal halls.
An incidence rate above that of the department
The incidence rate (number of people tested positive over 7 days per 100,000 inhabitants) in the department of Calvados was 177.6 on March 14, 2021. In the town of Isigny, it reached 273. Given this information , Eric Barbanchon, the mayor asked the Prefect to issue a decree making the wearing of the obligatory mask first of all in the city center and around municipal halls of the delegated municipality of Isigny-sur-Mer.
Mask compulsory from 11 years old
From Tuesday March 16 until May 31, wearing a protective mask is made compulsory for all people from 11 years old.
If the health situation does not improve, I can consider extending it to the entire municipality. The good health of all of our inhabitants depends on it.
