PADANG, KOMPAS.com – All students of one school in the City of Pariaman, West Sumatra, will undergo a swab test after it is known that one teacher and school operator is positive Covid-19.
In addition, the school was temporarily closed for the next 14 days and the entire room was sprayed with disinfectant.
“The swab will be tested to ensure whether or not students are infected. Our school is also closed for the next 14 days,” said Pariaman City Co-19 Task Force Spokesman Syahrul contacted Kompas.com, Monday (7/20/2020).
Syahrul said, for the time being, 20 people were the result tracing swab tested today.
“There are already 20 of those results tracing tested swab. We will continue to do tracing, including students, “said Syahrul.

Teach face to face
Previously, the Head of the Pariaman Kanderi City Education Office said, before being stated positive, the teacher had had the opportunity to teach face to face in class since Tuesday (07/14/2020).
“He had taught in class face-to-face. The task force team already did tracing for students and teachers who make contact, “said Kanderi.
Kanderi said the school had 580 students and it was estimated that there were 130 people in contact with the teacher.
“There are about 90 students who are taught face-to-face by the teacher. Then 40 teachers and school employees,” Kanderi said.
Nevertheless, Kanderi said that while teaching, teachers and students had implemented strict health protocols.
At present, said Kanderi, the school has been closed to all activities.
Even the school was immediately sprayed with disinfectant to clean up the virus.
Kanderi said that teachers and school operators were found to be positive at Covid-19 after a mass swab test of 1,500 teachers in Kota Pariaman.
“This mass test was carried out last Friday and the results were discovered by two positive people on Sunday,” Kanderi said.
Covid-19 positive teacher
Previously reported, a teacher and school operator in the City of Pariaman, West Sumatra positively contracted Covid-19.
The school which was originally opened in person since Monday (7/13/2020) had to be closed and replaced with online learning starting from Monday (7/20/2020).
“On Sunday (7/19/2020) two positive cases were found in the City of Pariaman. Schools in the area were closed again,” Spokesperson for the Covid-19 Task Force West Sumatra Body Rizal contacted Kompas.com on Monday.
Jasman said that Kota Pariaman was previously one of four areas in West Sumatra that entered the green zone besides Pesisir Selatan, Sawahlunto City and West Pasaman.

Because it is in the green zone, Kota Pariaman opens schools starting from grade IV elementary to high school face to face.
