Covid-19 – Hospital admissions continue to decline even as hospitalizations increase; new cases stagnate (+ 4,347 in 24 hours)

Indicators of the epidemic remain at very high levels on Monday evening. Hospitalizations are still increasing but not because of new admissions to French hospitals which are on the decline. There are fewer returns home.
As for new contaminations, they still stagnate even if they increase slightly on average.

France recorded 4,347 new confirmed cases of contamination by the coronavirus in 24 hours, according to data released Monday by Santé Publique France (SPF). A slight decrease compared to the logical day before for a Monday.
The averages of new contaminations over a week increased slightly to 20,515 this Monday evening against 20,500 the day before.
The news curve has therefore remained stagnant for more than a week.

COVID-19 has killed 455 more in hospitals for a total of 76,512 deaths in France since the start of the epidemic, according to the same data.

The number of people hospitalized in France due to the virus increased by 301 in 24 hours, for a total of 27,914 patients, including 3,228 in intensive care, or 70 more.

But surprise, new admissions continue to fall with 1.601 admissions to the hospital on average this Monday against 1.604 the day before. This is the 5th day in a row that this crucial indicator has fallen. If hospitalizations are increasing, it is due to returns home which have been fewer for several days.
