The press release published by the Académie de Lyon providing a weekly update on the health situation in schools indicates that none of them is currently closed, out of a total of 2,663 establishments identified.
On the other hand, 68 of the 21,530 classes in the Academy are closed following the appearance of positive cases. Over the past seven days, 176 cases of Covid have been confirmed involving students out of a total of 638,300, and 5 of the 44,932 teachers have also tested positive, or less than 0.5% of the workforce for each category.
In France, 20 elementary schools, public or private, following positive cases of coronavirus and 1,276 classes are closed, for a total of 3,620 pupils affected and 257 teaching staff infected.
