COVID-19: 138 new cases in Ontario | COVID-19 | News | The right

Chis increase brings the total number of people infected to 35,794 since the start of the crisis.

Of these new cases, 27 are located in Windsor-Essex, where an outbreak of coronavirus affected temporary workers from several farms in the area. Moreover, the screening of the latter continued on Sunday.

Nine of the 138 new infections affect members of the health care system in Ontario.

Of all the cases, we note that 31,266 people are considered to be cured of the virus (87.3%), while the number of cures jumped by 183 since Saturday.

COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 2,689 Ontarians since the start of the pandemic, two more than the previous day.

Provincial health officials also point out that they have tested 23,792 coronavirus tests in the past 24 hours.
