On Saturday May 27, Mayor Dominique Mercier renewed vows pronounced 50 years ago, on April 23, 1973 precisely, in the town hall of Saint-Dizier, between Guy and Nicole François. Guy is from Chancenay and worked at the André-Breton hospital. Nicole, née Lafon, is from Essey-lès-Nancy and worked for many years in various associations, notably at L’Assomption and Les Libellules, without forgetting her main occupation, which was her family, because from their union five children were born, Frédéric, Karine, Grégory, Jérôme and Anthony who gave them eleven grandchildren.
They successively lived in Saint-Dizier then in Baudonvillers and finally in Chevillon. They had the pain of losing Frédéric in December 2018. Surrounded by their loved ones, on this day of celebration, they were able to testify to their love by this yes pronounced 50 years after the first.
